Last Friday we had our pre primary to year 6 Athletics Carnival. What a wonderful day we had with the rain not starting until after we had packed away! I loved watching the students try their best and support each other! We have a few events to finish which will be done on Friday after recess. We will then be able to give out our championship medals. Parents, as always, are welcome to attend.
Last week was Book Week. Our fabulous librarian Ms Alicia Graham organised a week of activities for our students. On Monday our kindy students had their parade in the Early Childhood area – was such a lot of fun! We had our book fair running all week before and after school with bargain books to purchase. On Thursday, author extraordinaire Kylie Howarth came to our school to provide a series of interactive lessons with our students. On Friday we had our pre primary to year 6 parade. What an amazing day we all had. Every staff member dressed up and almost all of our students chose a character to dress up as. What a fabulous community spirit we have.
On Tuesday morning we had the pleasure of hosting all of our Early Childhood dads for a Father’s Day Breakfast! We had so many dads come along and the children loved it! There were glittery ties and paper planes flying through the air. It was so wonderful to have such support from our dads – we hope you continue to be involved in the school as much as you can for your children. I would like to thank the Early Childhood staff for their incredible effort in planning and coordinating the event!
